"Make Your First Manga" Drawing Kit
This project was to create a functional and appealing packaging for a product of our choice. My concept was a box set that includes all the basic tools to create a manga from start to finish, made by a mangaka who wants to help beginner artists with an affordable kit and provide guidance.
The box was designed to fit a tool tray, a guidebook and a stack of paper. The visual included my own manga art, as well as typical visuals like panels and screen tones. I also used some Japanese alphabet and a Hanko (stamp signature) to highlight the product's origin.
Tarot Beer Label Design
The mandate of this project was to create a logo as well as three label designs for a beer company called "Tarot". As I researched tarot cards, I learned they could be used as a self-exploration tool and, in psychology, as complementary care. This made me think of the Rorschach test and I created the visuals based on that concept.
Soap Bars Package Design
A design school project where we had a few soap brand options to choose from to create a visual identity and packages for. I picked the fruit scented soaps from the fictional Portuguese brand Lua Flor. I came up with three scents and was inspired by tile work found in Portugal to create the patterns, with colours that matched the ingredients.
